"There is no choice in this because only you can be the foundation of God's church. A church is where an altar is, and the presence of the altar is what makes it a church. Any church which does not inspire love has a hidden altar which is not serving the purpose for which God intended it. I must found His church on you because you who accept me as a model are literally my disciples." (OrEd.Tx.6.12)
Here's one quote from A Course in Miracles. "Around you angels hover lovingly, to keep away all darkened thoughts of sin and keep the light where it has entered in." (OrEd.Tx.26.83) It says there are angels hovering all around us, lovingly protecting our light, protecting our grace, protecting our blessing, and making sure we always have the light. Those are the better angels. (laughter) Those are the better angels, and they are all around.
When A Course in Miracles says that the body becomes holy, we have to engage with that like a literal statement and see where that fits for us and how we can relate to that. There’s a little bit of that last quotation that comes right before it that qualifies it. I want to read that. It says, “Use [the body] to bring the Word of God to those who have it not, and the body becomes holy. Because it is holy it cannot be sick, nor can it die.” (OrEd.Mn.12.5) We have to be using the body appropriately. We have to be using the body in the service of the Holy Spirit. That service is bringing the word of God to people who don’t have it. I do that. That’s what my whole life is about. I know I work long hours and really hard. But, I feel that I am doing what ACIM is asking us all to do – bringing the word of God to the people who don’t have it. You know what, I think that my body is holy.
Praise our Lord for this blessing and this blessed beautiful day. We are the change of our center, so let go and let God right now, because we are loved. We are called; we are chosen. We are rich; we are generous. We are beautiful; we are blessed. We are anointed; we are appointed. We are equipped. We are enabled by the power of God’s work to be It’s messengers. Here and now, all of you and me. Right here. Right now.
To forgive is not to say, "I know you are a horrible person, but I am going to forgive you. I'm so spiritual that I am going to forgive you." That's not what A Course In Miracles means by "overlook." It means "Look, then, beyond error, and don't let perception rest upon it, for you will believe what your perception holds." (OrEd.Tx.9.9) I talk about this a lot with my ACIM-1 class. We will perceive what we want to perceive. We see what we want to see. If you want to see your brother as holy and innocent, you will see him as holy and innocent.
