Net loss of 6 members.
Rev. Tony gave report about the reasons we have lost these members. Each member leaving had a different reason for leaving.
The current social and financial climate continues to not be working in our favor but things do seem to be shifting as society gradually opens up.

ACIM-2 Ministerial Projects
Paula Carpe – Successfully facilitating her ACOL class
Brian Patacca - Is doing Facebook Live videos, he has agreed to do 12 during the year
Elaine Turner – Will write 3 short articles about long term CMC Supporting Members for Miracles Monthly.
Rev. Kelly has decided to let go totally of her ACIM-1 Wed. morning class at the end of October. Rev. Kim who has been taking the class has agreed to take it over as the teacher. There are 2 students in the Wed. Morning ACIM-1 class that will be finished soon and who want to go on to ACIM-2. However they can't do evenings when Rev. Tony has a class. Rev. Paul has said he might do another ACIM-2 Sat. Morning class, but these two students say they can not do Sat. morning either as they have children and families who need attention then.
Rev. Tony thinks he could possibly start a Mon. 9 a.m. ACIM-2 class. It would be a little easier at that time slot since he already does a Mon. evening ACIM-2 class and having them on the same day makes certain things easier (lesson partners, reading schedules, etc.) This also makes sense because Rev. Tony has to monitor all of their projects. However, he is a little hesitant to take on the extra work.
The new students for ACIM 2 classes will become members of the Healing Team and begin reading the Healing Team emails by Rev. Tony as part of their daily curriculum. At the end of the 2020 we will drop reading Allen Watson's Workbook Commentaries along with the daily lessons.
Sunday Gathering Report:
We are now collecting attendance data for the Zoom Sunday Gatherings. For the past 12 meetings we had an average of 19 people. However this included the large ordination on Aug. 23 which had 37 people.
The possibility exists that we could broadcast the Sunday Gathering on Facebook Live. Rev. Tony's current home laptop is not powerful enough to do this, and he would need a more powerful home computer. Rev. Rudy has been doing this for his Saturday group. We already are LiveStreaming the Gathering via YouTube and through the CMC website.
The Board discussed the possibility of streaming on Facebook live. The advantage is that it reaches a different and possibly more expansive audience. Rev. Vincent does not like the Facebook platform and he would not want his talks broadcasted live. Rev. Rudy suggested that speakers could opt out if they wanted to, and we would not broadcast on Facebook Live that week.
CMC Publishing Inclusive Language Version of ACIM (The Original Edition):
Rev. Kelly has produced a sample of some of Chapter 1. Rev. Tony hasn't had time to look at it in-depth yet.
Rev. David had been working successfully, but something happened and he did not come in Thursday. He said he wasn't feeling well. Saturday morning he sent Rev. Tony an email quitting altogether. Rev. Tony has sent the entire Board the email. Rev. David also wants to quit being a Supporting Member and even receiving emails. He no longer will help at the Sunday Gatherings. Rev. Tony sent a loving email back but has not yet gotten a reply.
We discussed the possibility reaching out to him as Board members. Individual members will decide if they do this.
We discussed how to move forward. Will will keep the line of communication open to David. We will also begin to create a job description.
2021 ACIM Conference:
The Washington Marriott Wardman Park is still closed so a site visit has not been scheduled. Rev. Tony found an article that said the entire hotel may close for good and not reopen. That article was dated June. Rev. Tony has been in contact with the remaining Sales Manager who says that a final decision has not been made. They may know something more at the beginning of October.
Marketing Opportunity with David Riklan:
There is an opportunity to enroll in a year long marketing partnership with a marketing professional named David Riklan. Mr. Riklan has written several books on marketing. Rev. Tony would be the featured "Expert" in his new ACIM category on his personal growth web site < www.selfgrowth.com >. Mr. Riklan would video interview Rev. Tony about the CMC and its programs (~35 minutes) and put that interview up. Mr. Riklan guarantees 12,500 views on the video. He would also do an email blast to his list of 200,000 featuring Rev. Tony, the CMC and its programs. Mr. Riklan gives continued guidance and promotion throughout the year. His < www.selfgrowth.com > web site reaches the "self help / personal growth" market. Rev. Tony has looked him up and he has good data behind him. Plus Rev. Tony has communicated with a person who has worked with Mr. Riklan before, who gave him a glowing reference. The cost for the entire year would be $2,500. Since this would also benefit Rev. Tony, he is willing to split the cost of this promotional marketing package with the CMC by donating an extra $1,250 to the CMC personally to offset the large cost. Rev. Tony is in favor. He feels it is time to try something different and work with an established professional in the field. Mr. Riklan has a personal web page < davidriklan.com > with lots of information. He lives in New Jersey.
The Board discussed and unanimously agreed to join in this venture. Rev. Tony will follow up with David Riklan.
CMC Ezine *Miracles Weekly*:
Rev. Tony would like Board Members and or Associate Ministers to write the lead paragraph to the Miracles Weekly that goes out to our full email list.
Wills & Legacy Promotion:
We will increase promotion for folks to put the CMC in their Wills and Legacy documents. We have done some in the past but should increase the effort. The Board agreed. Rev. Tony will begin the process.
The CMC ordained 5 new Ministers on August 23, 2020:
Rev. Anthony Bopp #120
Rev. David Brunn #121
Rev. Deborah Canja #122
Rev. Margarita Marinkovich #123
Rev. Garrick Wilhelm #124
Zoom Sunday Gathering Suggestions:
Rev. Rudy suggests that we add multimedia to the Zoom Services. He believes the current music is not contributing to the quality of the service. The multimedia presentation could include a famous song performed or talk from a famous person such as Pope Francis that aligns with our message.
MEETING ADJORNED: 2:00 P.M.
NEXT MEETING: Sunday November 22nd, 2020 12:45 p.m.
Respectfully submitted: Rev. Peter Graham, Secretary
