We have negotiated the low room price of a "Deluxe Room" (1 or 2 people) for $229 per night. This is terrific for downtown Los Angeles. As soon as you register we will send you the link to reserve your room at The Omni Los Angeles Hotel in Presidential Plaza. Don't delay because once the room block is the full the price will increase.

The Omni Los Angeles is in a "prefect" location. The 2nd floor lobby connects directly to the famous Angels Flight funicular railway. It is said to be the world's shortest train trip. Fare is $1 (each way up and down a steep hill). This connects the hotel directly to Grand Central Market a wonderful, large gourmet food court with indoor and outdoor dining.
Just like the CMC's Conferences in: Boston 2019, San Francisco 2018, Las Vegas 2016, New York City 2015, and Chicago 2013 we will be organizing fun and educational tourist excursions:
... all day and night Wed. May 20,
... all day and night Thu. May 21,
... in the morning Fri. May 22,
... in the afternoon and evening of Sun. May 24,
... all day Memorial Day Mon. May 25.
Please come day(s) early and stay day(s) after and make a vacation of your trip. The low room price will extend to your extra days. The exact tourist excursion will not be specifically planned until we are much closer to the event. Here are a few things we are thinking of:
* Private Tour of Dodger Stadium & an actual Los Angeles Dodgers baseball game
* Angels Flight & Grand Central Market
* Classic Hollywood Walking Tour
* Disneyland (the original one)
* The Getty Center
* Universal Studios & City Walk (L.A.'s most popular tourist attraction)
* Historic Farmer's Market & The Grove
* L.A. & Celebrity Homes Bus Tour
* La Brea Tar Pits & Paige
* Medieval Times Dinner & Show
* Walt Disney Concert Hall
Los Angeles Dodgers, Dodger Stadium, and L.A. Union Station: Join us to see this historic ballpark (opened in 1962) that is the world's largest baseball stadium holding 56,000 people. Then join in cheering the Dodgers on as they play a game! What fun! Before the game we will have a tour of the park as well as a walk through of the L.A. Union Station.
Angels Flight Railway & Grand Central Market: Originally opened in 1901, Angels Flight - the world's shortest railway (a funicular - cars are on an angle) - will take you from the hotel to Grand Central Market. Gourmet egg sandwiches, Chinese, barbecue, falafel, artisan pizza, and Mexican, are just a few of your options to grab a bite before registration. Opens early for breakfast. Stays open late for dinner.
Classic Hollywood Walking Tour: Enjoy this tour to the Walk of Stars, Mann (TCL) Chinese Theater, the Hollywood sign & Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. This tour is all the things you think of when someone says "Hollywood." Lots of shopping, eating, and photo opportunities with (wax) celebrities!
Disneyland: Get ready to have a full day of fun at the "original" theme park and maybe still the best. Enjoy classics like "It's a Small World" and the "Main Street Electrical Parade," and some new attractions like "Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge." And don't forget to get a photo with Mickey and Minnie while in the park! What would a trip to L.A. be without going to Disneyland?
The Getty Center: The Museum started in J. Paul Getty's house in 1954. It is well known for its architecture, gardens, and spectacular views overlooking Los Angeles. The Getty houses European paintings, drawings, sculpture, decorative arts, and photography. Miraculously the museum itself is free to the public. (There will be transportation costs.)
Universal Studios & City Walk: A full day of fun and fantasy in a working movie studio! Take the Famous Studio Tour and meet King Kong, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and Jimmy Falon. Or take a trip through the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. You can say "Hi!" to the Minions and the Simpsons also in the fully immersive 3D "ride" experiences. This is L.A.'s most popular tourist attraction! Don't miss it! (Watch out for Sideshow Bob on the Simpson's ride! "This was one of the scariest rides I've ever been on!" - Rev. Tony)
Historic Farmers Market & the Grove: One of L.A.'s oldest institutions, the Farmer's Market is an open-air extravaganza with lots of food and souvenir shops. Then go to The Grove, a modern outdoor mall of boutique shops and high-end restaurants. Extra! with Mario Lopez often films there so keep your eyes open!
L.A. & Celebrity Homes Bus Tour: See the homes of several famous celebrities and over 50 other amazing sights by bus INCLUDING Beverly Hills, Rodeo Drive, Sunset Strip, the Hollywood sign, and Mulholland Drive! You'll be in a comfortable shuttle with video screens that show you the inside of the homes also.
La Brea Tar Pits & Paige Museum: Experience the world's only active, urban Ice Age excavation site. It's science in action, right in the heart of Los Angeles. We will experience it all - the tour of excavation areas and the tar pits, the museum, and 3D movie encounters.
Medieval Times Dinner & Show: Go back in time to the Middle Ages. Spend some time wandering the stables and looking at the beautiful horses. Cheer on your knight as he engages in a jousting match and other amazing feats to win the hand of the princess as you enjoy a 4-course meal. It's the perfect way to start or finish the Conference.
Walt Disney Concert Hall: The Walt Disney Concert Hall was designed by Frank Gehry. It opened in 2003 and is the home of the Los Angeles Philharmonic orchestra and the Los Angeles Master Chorale and can be seen from our hotel! It is sure to be a world-class show that you won't want to miss.
