Minutes of Special Meeting 168-A of Community Miracles Center Board of Directors
11.11.17 10:45 a.m. at the Sebastopol Inn in Sebastopol, CA

[Note: This meeting was held at the end of our Board Retreat, Nov. 10 & 11, 2017 in Sebastopol, CA. By unanimous consent of the Board it was decided that a business meeting would be held so that binding decisions could be made. Regular order of meetings was suspended.]

Motion: The CMC adopt the following as its new Mission Statement “The Community Miracles Center is a local and worldwide fellowship. We share our experience of A Course In Miracles and other related spiritual teachings in order to heal our perception of ourselves, our relationships, and the world.” Unanimous

Rev. Peter glanced at his phone right after we approved the new Mission Statement and noted that it was 11.11 (Nov. 11) at 11:11 a.m.

Agreement that the CMC pursue a 2019 ACIM Conference in Boston, MA for around Apr. or May of 2019. There was general agreement to eliminate the Sunday brunch meal. Other meals are still being considered and there are different opinions about those. After a hotel is contacted and prices discussed a final decision can be made by the Board about the other meals.

Motion: All CMC conference classes will start using the CMC's Zoom Video Conferencing professional account starting Jan. 2018. Unanimous.

Motion: Rev. Rudy will start a drop-in, by donation, Sat. morning ACIM class to be held in his San Francisco apartment at 1000 Chestnut Street, every Sat. morning from 10:15 a.m. to 12 noon starting Sat. Jan. 6, 2018. Unanimous

Rev. Rudy will take a donation and prepare a report listing attendance and money collected for each class.

Agreement that all CMC Ministers leading ACIM Gather programs be encouraged to make an announcement about their involvement with the CMC plus encouraging listeners to tune into the Sunday Gathering that is broadcasted on ACIM Gather. Rev. Tony will provide these ministers with sample announcements.

Special meeting adjourned at 11:30 a.m.

Next meeting

Since this Board meeting was held, we will not hold the regularly scheduled meeting on the 4th Sun. in Nov.(Nov. 26), especially considering that will be Thanksgiving weekend. Next meeting will be the regularly scheduled meeting on Sun. Jan. 28 at 1:30 p.m. Please put this meeting in your schedules.
