We have created an entirely new bookkeeping process which includes downloading the transactions from Bank of America, & Chase Credit Card. We are using new computer and a new version of Quickbooks. We started all accounts from scratch with completely new file. Rev. Kelly did a tremendous job and deserves recognition.
This new updated method of bookkeeping will reduce how much time we have to spend on bookkeeping by about 10 hours a month. We want to specifically acknowledge how much work Rev. Kelly did to help us transition to this updated program.
Still $6,804 in the J.P. Morgan account.

OLD BUSINESS:
New CMC Board Members?
We need to have between 7 to 15 Board Members. Currently we have the minimum of 7. 3 prospects were considered. The Board discussed the options and benefits of adding a Board Member. Rev. Kelly and others were discussed again as possible members. Several spoke of Rev. Kelly’s considerable contribution and the amazing skills she brings to the CMC. Rev. Tony noted that while there are some issues because he supervises her, that he will not be able to sustain his pace of work indefinitely and that Rev. Kelly would benefit from learning how to work with the Board as she takes on more responsibility. There were concerns about how being on the Board would complicate Rev. Tony’s ability to be Rev. Kelly’s supervisor.
Motion: Rev. Kelly be asked to be a member of the CMC Board of Directors. Passed
By a 5 to 1 margin the motion carried. Rev. Kelly will be asked to join the CMC Board.
The Board briefly discussed anotehr minister as a candidate, but it was felt it was too soon to consider ths person.
NEW BUSINESS:
2018 Conference:
DavidPaul and Candace Doyle have dropped out as Presenters.
227 tickets sold or people otherwise enrolled
9 Staff
25 Presenters
115 in blocks — no names yet
78 we have information
Hotel will not give us Direct Billing. We have paid them $55,000 up to this point.
Sunday Gathering at 875 Post:
Attendance has decreased. This could be seasonal. Musicians very difficult to find and paying them $50 seems questionable. Will talk about this at the next meeting. Perhaps use musicians occasionally and not every week.
Address Issue with 3006 Office:
The current office requires some upgrades to get the unit meeting code. The most outstanding concern is the ceiling height which requires the floor to be lowered. The Board discussed whether we should continue at the current space or find another space. After much discussion Rev. Rudy, who is the owner of the building, committed to work with the Board on seeing if the unit could be made into a legal business address which would include lowering the floor.
Rev. Rudy reported on progress moving office to Music City at 1355 Bush. He reported that Music City is in negotiations with several high profile music related organizations who would share the space and use the facility for teaching, producing, and music concerts. He said we needed to do some work on aligning the CMC mission with Music City so that we are compatible with these organizations and the Music City Vision.
Rev. Peter brought up idea of having a day long “retreat” in the fall to discuss vision for the CMC long term, in a more relaxed atmosphere when all considerations could be given adequate time. General agreement to plan this day-long event.
ACIM Gather:
Rev. Tony give a quick report on what is happening with our partnership with One Mind Foundation. Things are going well. Current programs conducted by CMC or CMC Ordained Ministers:

100: Brenda Culbertson
101: Brooke Vernon Grant
102: Janelle Karas

Respectfully Submitted,
Rev. Peter Graham, Secretary
