Financial Reports:

No new financial statements to go over. We have lots of cash at present because we have lots of conference registration money in our bank accounts, but much of it is for our 2015 conference coming expenses. We will have a clearer view of our finances after the 3rd quarter is finished. Rev Tony says he believes things are good and he will send out the 3rd quarter financial statement as soon as he can get it completed which should be near the end of October.

Supporting Member Report:

Currently 113 Supporting Members – $6,042.66 / month, $53.47 / member
Net gain of 1 member/ loss of $316.67 / month pledged.
Gained (4): Jesse Brune, Rev. Dianne Schmunk, Mary Thomson, Michelle McNichols
Loss (3): Mary Biancuzzo (she made her transition), Ruth Diones, Ginger Larson

Old Business:

The Way of Mastery Class (TWOM):
Rev. Marci and Rev. Heather submitted their new class proposal. A discussion was held on this topic.

Motion: A The Way of Mastery (TWOM) teleconference class in a two year format be given. First session will be lead by Rev. Marci on Tue. at 5 p.m. Rev. Heather may start another session at the beginning of 2015. Unanimous

New Business:

Conference Update:
Rev. Tony and Rev. Dusa Althea visited the Pennsylvania Hotel where the conference will be held. Rev. Tony gave a very favorable report. Great conference facilities: Main conference hall, breakout rooms, dining hall, many elevators, 24/7 cafe downstairs, associated restaurants, etc. Rooms are older and could use remodeling. Met with presenters: Yasuko Kasaki, Jon Mundy PhD., and the Roger Mapes (Rev. Yolanda / the featured singer)

A Course Of Love Class (ACOL)
On Aug. 28 an email was sent to the CMC Board proposing an ACOL class be offered by Rev. Heather on Wed. at 8 a.m. After email communication it was approved with the stipulation that a more in-depth discussion be held at this Board meeting about offering classes in material that is not specifically ACIM. There was also a call to have a discussion about making decisions outside of CMC Board meetings. Copy of original email proposal is below. It was approved with 9 yes votes and 1 abstention.

There has been lots of interest in the ACOL book and class. We may have a full Wed. 8 a.m. class.  We may have  enough potential students for a Wed 6 p.m. class. Rev. Heather will be teaching the morning and the evening classes, if there are enough students. A discussion was held about the offering classes that are by authors of companion material to ACIM and not ACIM itself. A discussion was also held about making decisions outside of CMC Board Meetings. Concern was expressed that several CMC Board Members were not familiar with ACOL. Possibly a book should have been sent to each Board Member.

Motion: Offer an A Course Of Love class taught by Rev. Heather on Wed. at 8 a.m. Another session on Wed. at 6 p.m. may be held if there is interest. Passed: 5 Yes, 2 No

Class Report:
ACIM-2 class s being offered by Rev. Judy on Thu. at 7:30 a.m. There are 2 students. It uses international conference calling because Crystal Kaplan is currently living in Madrid. The International calling is now available and could be used by other classes.

Rev. Judy’s proposed to have her ACIM-1 class through Skype. This was accepted as long as her students were willing. General discussion that we should embrace new technology.

Rev. Marci would like to stop teaching ACIM-2 on Monday night. She would like to start having other CMC ordained ministers who mir outside the Bay Area teach our classes so we can demonstrate that our impact is not just local. Discussion about who could teach this class was held.

Assistant Minister and Professional Staff Compensation
Discussion was held about the Assistant Minister's (Rev. Heather Holmes') job and the Executive minister's (Rev. Tony Ponticello's) job. Rev. Heather did a very good job for filling in for Rev. Tony when he was in New York. Rev. Heather currently makes $500 more than Rev. Tony. There was a discussion that this did not seem appropriate and was no longer necessary.

Motion: Raise Rev. Tony’s salary $200 a month to $2,200. Unanimous

Meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m.

Next Meeting, the 150th, Scheduled Sunday Nov. 16, 2014 at 12:45 p.m. Pacific.

Respectfully Submitted Rev. Peter Graham Secretary
