Old Business

Painting and Remodeling Project:
The old tables will be taken to the Salvation Army as Rev. Tedosio has agreed to take them once we buy the new white tables. Rev. Rudy has agreed to pay for the new tables and is paying he $200 for the recent Handyman work.

New Business

General Communication to Board Should Maintain Proper Decorum
We should maintain a proper, respectful decorum while communicating on the CMC Board Yahoo discussion group. Please take personal disagreements off-line.

Update on Search for Assistant Minister
There were 13 applicants for the position. Rev. Tony and Rev. Vincent narrowed it down to 6 applicants. Rev. Peter, Rev. Vincent, and Rev. Dusa Althea interview and selected 3 finalists. Rev. Tony has arranged an interview with each of them.  We are very happy with the quality of the finalists.

Salary for Assistant Minister
There was considerable discussion.
Motion: Salary for the Assistant Minister will be $30,000 / year. Unanimous.

Sunday Service
The new Assistant Minister responsibilities will including speaking on a regular basis. We should encourage Ministers who speak  to attend Sunday Service on dates when they aren’t speaking. There will be a short survey for folks who attend Sunday Service to determine why they attend. We would like the speaking Minister to come early and interact with the folks attending service. The Board would like speakers to get the title and description of their talk to Rev. Tony by the Tue. before the talk.

Miracle Relief Fund
Rev. Rudy has done benefit, musical concerts in order to help those in need. It would be better if solicited donations, and admission "donations" were tax deductible. The CMC could receive the money and then give it to the beneficiary. The name of the fund would be "Miracle Relief Fund."
Motion: CMC will start a Miracle Relief Fund. Unanimous.
